Memento Mori jewelry. So fascinating and beautiful!

18k gold skull watch dates to 1810 and had diamonds for teeth and eyes. The enameled skull opens up to reveal the watch face and there is a small glass port under the skull to watch the movement operate. This watch sold recently for $18,000.

Various Wunderkammers from around the big old virtual world. Which basically means there is little info on artists/makers/owners. But, I mean, what does authorship even mean these days? Ooh, another time perhaps?!
I’m drawn to the last image - the open space/working studio/wunderkammer - this is much like my space, only mine is much smaller and a little more wooden.
The general feel and look that I’m hoping to achieve for the degree show is the feeling of openness and honesty, yet with a respected privacy - the acknowledgements and appreciation for everything. OR indeed, sutin.
